Dear Fellow Clinician,
Please consider this opportunity for free continuing education contact hours after participating in my research study on providing breastfeeding education in the primary care setting. The University of Arkansas Eleanor Mann School of Nursing is conducting a quality improvement project on the impact a breastfeeding education webinar intervention will have in increasing knowledge and self-efficacy in primary care. To be eligible to participate, you must care for infants and/or mothers in a primary care setting in Arkansas and spend at least half your day in direct patient care.
This study will include a series of online, on-demand breastfeeding webinar modules. You will also complete a pre-webinar survey, followed by a post-webinar survey 2 to 4 weeks after completing the modules. The research project will take approximately 240 minutes. You will be rewarded with 4 free hours of continuing education credit through the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
Your participation will provide valuable information about the future of breastfeeding education for primary care clinicians. It is my hope that this education will also provide you with valuable skills to enhance your current practice. Your identity will be protected throughout the research, and your participation in voluntary. This study has been approved by the University of Arkansas Institutional Review Board. Declining to participate will not adversely affect any other relationship with the University of Arkansas or the researchers.
Thank you for taking the time to consider participating in my research!
